The one in downtown Burlington always seems to be busy. Hopefully downtown Hamilton would be the same.

This is Darko Vranich's Starbucks franchise.
Darko! He just knows how to put a Starbucks 'stamp' of economic approval on things. So smart. Kind of a garnish to his plate of offerings... I'd love to know where his next moves are.

Nations

Wow, lately have had several trips to Jackson Square.
The food court with the selection was like a cross between the Mandarin and Country Buffet. And the prices were very reasonable with friendly service.
This is long overdue! Novel meal by weight $$.
I was talking to a friend who finishes work around 5 and he has stumbled onto the food court and reduced prices at the end of the day. So now he just makes a little detour, drops in and brings supper home.
What a bonus for anyone staying at the Hotel, after a long day just venture down and be back in your room in a matter of minutes.
The grocery store seems to do well as there is always a line-up at the numerous check-outs.
Thanks, I have a reason to drop in now and it is a welcome addition.

He'll be opening up way more franchise soon. I believe he'll open a Beaver and Bulldog at the new Hilton hotel.

Just to clarify, Starbucks does not franchise their Starbucks format. All these locations are corporate.

Did the original Hamilton Yuk Yuk's stop operating during the Ramada/Crowne Plaza change over? it was originally in that hotel.

I think this means that Anchor Bar will just be the venue for Yuk Yuk events and not a separate location.

They went from there to the Connaught to Howard Johnsons on Upper James.

This is correct. I remember going into the Connaught a few weeks after the hotel closed and the stage and bar area in the basement were still completely intact. It was a really nice spot too with an entrance off of John street I believe.

Is this gonna be in the space where the elevator outside of the McDonalds goes up to? A guy at Waltz one night took me and a friend up there to have a look around. Huge space with windows facing onto King and Bay Streets. It would definitely work well for live comedy.

It would be great if CH could film a weekly half hour comedy show there. I used to love the old Caroline's Comedy Hour on A&E.

Looks like the cladding is going up on the new burger bar in Jackson Square.

I need to get back to Jackson Square before it becomes totally unrecognisable.

I was hoping they'd have a street presence. Wicked.

I never said it was bad. It's just so that I can still have some landmarks to orient myself while processing the new ones for when the old bits are completely gone.
