If you are going to post spending cuts and new sources of revenue, then it would be a fair analysis. Otherwise, you are just listing the cost of the federal government which I could care less about really.

Dante and Fiorenza, what McCain and Obama say during the campaign doesn't mean crap. Voting history is the only true indication what are their beliefs.

I would like Fiorenza to post McCain's voting record that proves he is a fiscal conservative. Also Fiorenza, post McCain's voting history on tax cuts...

You Republicans are such fools to believe this man. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

If that's the case, then anyone interested in electing a mdoerate democrat should certainly be going for McCain!

Oh hey testarossa, you are so correct. However, in order for McCain to be a viable Democratic candidate, he needs to change his views on the war.

Do you really believe McCain is a true Republican?

His policy on healthcare, taxes, and the war isn't aligned with even the most centrists of Democrats. I don't think thats a fair comparison.

I'm sorry, do you have to be a moderator to call for an off-topic discussion to go to the appropriate thread, behind_phipps?

Do we even still have moderators? This thread has 18 pages maybe the first 4 were actually pertaining to the Beltline.

First, if this thread had not gone off-topic it would have been dead months ago.

Second, stop calling me Behind_Phips. That left-wing SOB (I don't mean Streets of Buckhead) and I are not the same....I'm better lookin!

Maybe I should throw my name in the hat.

Will I need to start a campaign? Do I need to buy print and radio advertising? Who will be my campaign manager? And surely I will need a scandal to keep my name in the news. Maybe I can go to the mens room at Phipps and run my hand along the stall wall. Ok, that was a bad idea because I am not a Republican.

Well, his policy on taxes is exactly the same as JFK's. Come to think of it, his policy on war is pretty much the same too!

Also, thanks for contributing yet another example of liberals completely ignoring qualifying phrases. Economists thank you for that.

What John McCain are you talking about?

The one that was against the tax cuts for the wealthy....and now is for
The one that was for women's rights....and now is against
The one who was for gay rights....and now is against
The one who was against torture....and now is for
The one who was against religion in politics...and now is for
The one who said you have to talk to your enemies...and now is against

So before you bust Dante's balls, you need to clarify which John McCain you are talking about.

So testarossa, are YOU talking about the liberal John McCain of the past or are you talking about the NeoCon John McCain of the present.

Wow people, calm down. When I said you ignore qualifying phrases I meant you missed the fact that I'm joking; read through the posts again. If we're going to have a BS off topic discussion I'd at least like for it to be lighthearted.

There is nothing people take more seriously than politics and religion.
