This is my idea of how affordable housing should be built. This 12 unit building is being constructed at the corner of 12th and Toronto. The cost per door is half of the gold plated, tax payer funded project going up elsewhere. These sorts of projects can help many more people, better increase the housing supply are far more sustainable than the high-profile projects being touted as the solution at well over $400k per door.

This group is also doing a similar 18 unit building on 1516 Vic Ave; both are currently listed for sale. Development is full-on in Heritage, which is great to see. The city also had proposals somewhat recently for 1613 13th Ave and 2322 Saint John, on top of everything else around there.

Not in Heritage, but two houses were recently removed on 2340 and 2350 McIntyre. Anyone know if and what is planned for there?

City added a page about the North Albert Ring Road bridge replacements. Restrictions start March 24.

Has there been a summer in the last 15 years without Ring Road restrictions for the entire summer?

I do not believe 1516 Victoria is under construction. Here is the listing:

So I assume the Northwest loop ramp is the one that goes from West on Ring Road to Southbound on Albert?

It says see below but of course there's nothing.

Great to see some renewal in the neighbourhood. Lots of vacant lots so hopefully these projects keep coming.

Maybe they weren't actually working yet, but I notice that there isn't a hard hat to be seen on any of the 3 people on site in those photos. One way to keep costs down - until there's an incident, that is.

I noticed they had hardhats over their toques the other day. I did not see any fall suppression however.

One picture from Westerra today and a panorama since I found a viewer that lets me link to imgur.

The DJI app doesn't render panoramas well:
https://cdn.pannellum.org/2.5/pannel...m/cwMmT6X.jpeg

I tried 2 panorama programs (Hugin / PTGui) and neither worked quite right. The 3rd one, AutopanoGiga worked great except it didn't include the overhead images. It may have skipped them since there were no features to match in a clear blue sky. It initially cropped that out which messed up how the viewer displayed it, so I had to change the settings to uncropped. AutopanoGiga is discontinued but they gave out the software key so it is free to use. https://hdrmaps.com/blog/autopano-giga-is-now-free/

A few more panoramas. They're pretty good for showing an area overview when there's nothing in particular to focus on, or you'd have to get too far away to fit everything in. Though the result can be blurrier than the original photos.
