I was driving past Argyle school today and took a picture of the addition progress.

Another week and a half before it will be warm enough to take the drone out again.

I drove to a few places with the drone today and added more to the gallery below. I was hoping for a mountain of snow at the snow dump but they are keeping it fairly flat with bulldozers.

The snow dump is probably fairly flat because the city barely actually removes snow..

Local journalism is unfortunately effectively dead in this country, primarily because people got used to free news on the internet, and so stopped subscribing to papers. As papers closed or consolidated, their new private equity owners got rid of more and more journalists, making the papers worse. This accelerated the process, and now the only effective papers are the giant ones, but even they are shells of their former selves.

Journalism is basically dead, and we as a society are already paying for it. All because people didn't want to pay for people to actually do the jobs of reporting/investigating. Like in many other areas, it turns out that the internet was a giant mistake.

Your statement makes sense and is getting worse and worse all the time no reporting of the news

Added more the to the current gallery in the east / south east on a foggy day. https://imgur.com/a/T6uNc6s

For that foundation at 5000 E Green Brooks Way by the school there are two permits totalling $16 million, 67 units by Argyle Development on the 2024 building permit report. Nothing at all on their website.

There's a tender out for traffic signal work at 9 locations.

Lit crossing at University Park drive and Gardiner Park.

Old style push button crossing on 25th Ave at Garnet is being upgraded but moved over to the multi-use path where it makes more sense to have it.

4th Ave and Connaught by the new mall is getting much needed traffic lights.

Argyle and 25th by Golden Mile is having the 4 way stop replace with traffic lights.

Park and 13th (just sound of Victoria) is getting traffic lights. Which will be helpful for my cross city biking. I take 14th from the Lewvan to Arcola, just past there crossing Park can be annoying due to the high traffic and a combined 7 lanes of parking, driving and turning.

Again, thank you for sharing. That’s a lot of housing starts.

A few more today. I also took two panoramas but need to figure out a site that can display them. (There doesn't seem to be a good way to share spherical panoramas short of running your own website to host a viewer. The auto stitched panorama by the drone app is low quality, and the manually stitched ones using 3rd party software have alignment issues)

I think I'll head out to Westerra / GTH Saturday with the drone. The roads are getting pretty good for cycling now, but the side streets are horrible even with studded tires and best avoided. If they stick to a similar schedule as last year, the demolition of the first North Albert Ring Road bridge should start towards the end of this month.

A few pics from Westerra and the GTH to round out the current gallery. https://imgur.com/gallery/regina-feb-24-mar-8-T6uNc6s

It can get quite a bit windier when the drone is a few hundred feet off the ground. Flying from SaskPower to Cargill it was doing 22 km/h, and 60 coming back.

Thanks for the photo share. These two are quite spectacular.
