It's the glass box at the top of the stairs. The sign was on the glass panel that faces the stairs. That whole side of the box had the mermaid's head on it plus the words Coming Soon.

Starbucks Reserve came to mind after I saw that but who knows.

Looking from our window the third tower is now approximately half the height of the other two and is starting to have quite a presence. Still a loit more to go!

I live in the area and I used to think it took too long the excavations but now it's like all of a sudden there are 3 big towers that just popped up. Lol.

I like the walk at night with the light from those new streetlamps and benches and landscaping at the Willingdon/Lougheed sides/corner. Soon it'll be even nicer and brighter.

I still miss the view of the mountains from the Skytrain platform though.

That glass box was supposed to be leased by Trattoria restaurant

The unit in the middle here?
They must have paid a bundle for that location.
High traffic, high visibility even from the street.

He's referring to an artist's rendering that's marked "Trattoria" (which is a generic word) on that box. i.e. made-up store names and locations as placeholders, like the "pear" store.

I hope we would soon hear something about Tower 4 beginning construction, so that things would keep trucking. There is still so much more to come in this complex and years keep passing by quickly!

I can see that's going to a busy Starbucks. A lot of commuters will stop in on there way and grab their morning coffee before heading on the Skytrain. vice-versa for people heading into work at Brentwood too as they grab a coffee and head into there shift.

I don't miss that old Gas Station and car repair shop plus the huge parking lot that used to be on the site before they built all this though. Although I totally agree about the loss of mountain views. Maybe there will be a spot somewhere in this new development to view those mountains.

Can you still view the mountains from top of Sears parking lot?

I don't think the mountains have never really been visible from the parking lot. Or perhaps I am always mesmerized by the tall towers going up around me when I am there?

I too see the big Starbucks logo now and I can say that they'll definitely be getting some of my money. The location is right beside the station, making it incredibly convenient for the users of that station. Will take a photo of it when I pass by there next time.

Yes. That glass box. Now another logo sign is on the glass side facing Lougheed. Hard to miss indeed if one is walking or driving past. It looks huge, or high ceilinged anyway.

Hopefully people dipping in and out at Brentwood Station to grab Starbucks won't cause too much congestion with the big three faregates..

Shouldn't the title for this thread be changed to Towers I, II, & III since III is 1/4 built and all? I wonder though when excavation and progress for the next phase of this project will see some action? Also surprised to not see the old Sears space be either demolished and or made useful since Sears closed down a while ago!

re the stair lighting, too bad it wasn't better, this was a fairly recent mall development in Tokyo just outside of central tokyo in a fairly nice upscale mall, with stores like Zara, Zara Home, Jo Malone, Dyptique, Louis Vuitton, etc.

The stairs were lit up and would do patterns etc.

After years of anticipation, Shape is only able to attract Starbucks to the Amazing Brentwood. Sad!
