If I had to guess… it was that 6G, The Independent etc video you shared that started to get your channel to take off. That video was shot at the right time of day between golden hour and twilight. I work professionally in the film & video worlds, and that video you posted had a little extra special sauce to it.

I hope we haven't veered too far off topic, but that video was really lucky and probably the best hands down; but the video that went wild was a 6X "hero shot" from like 11 months ago that has over 73k views. Most of those views are from the past couple months.

Shot a few videos - none are particularly special. But keeping the content going. Open to suggestions minus Domain or UT. Shot everything today from the garage floor roof of Bank One where Headliners is - not a great spot. Let me know where some of y'all like to launch

Amazing to see how Austin's city center has developed.

This is a skyview from 40 years ago. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/89/ec...ce6e61fb8d.jpg

Looks like a completely different city compared to now.

Wow. What’s that civic center looking building on the Austin-American Statesman site? Is that just the old AAS bldg I’m seeing, or was there something else there?

I believe someone else with more expertise could answer that better than me.

I'll be moving to Austin next year. At this stage I'm just enjoying the fantastic progress in the city center.

Great video. You have mastered the art of flying between buildings. Something I am still afraid to do. I know you said no UT area. And thats cool. But my dream shot if I had one of the newer drones with zoom. Would be flying low down one of the streets on west campus. Heading south with the new west campus buildings on either side. Rising up and out of that canyon and have Austin's downtown come into view.

There might be a better street then Nueces to use. Just using this as an example. I am just worried that downtown would look too far away still, which is why I think it would be best with a drone that has zoom.

That's exactly the way it looked like when I moved here. Curiously I liked Austin as much then as I do now.

That is indeed the Statesman building. I interned there in college. Had a window looking out at the city. Wow, that view has changed since then!

Wow that site is huge. I would hate to be a Hazmat technician at that site and get a gas detection or acid spill on the other side of the fab.
