I just want to say I love following how Boise is developing. I feel like the city is doing a great job at creating a vibrant, walkable, cohesive downtown that has a mix of everything and only getting better. With all of the apartments going in along with the office space and the university, it's only up for you guys. Good job Boise!

Has anyone seen rendering of the new Split Rail winery building on Chinden? Drove by today and saw a Jorden Wilcome construction fence going up.

I'm sure someone lurking knows, or if not, searching the Jordan Wilcomb website might answer your question.

Guernsey Dairy Milk Depot

The renovations are progressing on the remodel into office space and the old landscaping was removed a few weeks ago.

Quote:
https://history.idaho.gov/wp-content...t_82000206.pdf
The Guernsey Dairy Milk Depot is a light industrial building picturesquely rendered in a Spanish colonial revival style. Facing State and Twenty-fifth streets, the one-story stuccoed concrete block is flat-roofed, with low-pitched pent roofs covered with tile. The building is distinguished by a two-story tile-roofed tower on the corner. The main entrance is in a slightly outset bay approximately centered on the front elevation. The plan is rectangular, with a sixty-four-foot frontage on State Street and ninety feet on Twenty-fifth Street, except for a boiler room outset on the rear left side. The tall, square stack for the boiler is still extant, with a plain coped top over panels of inset tile.

Garden City

More development happening in Garden City! It's quickly moving on it's way to be the densest city in the valley. These developments are all clustered on the eastern end of the city around the Waterfront District.

Multi-family building:
4-story multi-family building on 36th street. It has 24 units within the building.
https://gardencityidaho.org/vertical...l_03112021.pdf

Brickwest Brewing - Mix-use:
A new mix-use building on the corner of 34th and Clay St. The building with contain a Brickwest Brewing, a brewery from Spokane. It will have 4 residential units and 1 live/work unit along with the brewery.
https://gardencityidaho.org/vertical...l_03112021.pdf

Mix-use Neighborhood at 34th and the River:
In the wake of the Hannah Ball development implosion, a new proposal has been put forth into the city. The development would contain some commercial space, boutique hotel and several different type of townhomes. It looks like they are including a plaza at the river next to a 1-story commercial building.

Pritchett Booth Development ~ Northend Historic District

24th Street
The old Salvation Army campus.
Eight new homes, Lot 7 appears to be the front lawn in front of the Booth Home.
Three condos in the Booth Home and two more in the Mid Century Chapel.

I have plenty of "before" photos from last year prior to the demo of the non contributing buildings.

Throw in a tree lined urban trout river flowing through downtown, the greenbelt and hundreds of acres of city parkland in the greater downtown area.

Thanks for the comment.

Wild! That's a lot to take in all at once! Thanks for the heads-up. Looks like 5 stories on the building across the intersection from Push & Pour.... very cool. And another brewery, fantastic.

If one scoots down the Greenbelt I noticed that Boardwalk development is currently in site prep mode.... most of the demolition complete... all these new urban nodes around are going to be fun to visit.

‘Massive’ Boise restaurant, bar, music, game venue to open in May. Goal? ‘The best ... period’

Quote:
Open at 7 a.m. daily, the multifaceted destination will be a craft coffee and breakfast spot. A Wi-Fi and laptop hangout. A lunch and dinner restaurant with “upscale Western fare.” A full-liquor bar. A 400-capacity music venue with a legit stage. And a game center with four miniature bowling lanes, Skee-Ball, sports on TVs and more.

Here are more updates. I'm omitting a few projects from this post because of the amount of photos and might begin that "before and after" photo thread soon as well as using the thread to post the extra photos I shoot of construction in The City of Trees.

nice update.

with all this activity on the east side, makes me wonder when the near west side (just west of the idaho power building) will start to see some more activity? plenty of quiet parking lots over there that need some good density.

One of the biggest roadblocks on the west side of downtown, is that Idaho Power owns a majority of those surface parking lots. They've indicated in the past they're not interested in playing developer.
