Should really create a thread for cities under 750,000 population so it doesn't just become a Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver thread. ( previos pages )

I don't understand 8 Wellesley. Best I can describe it is bending around a view cone in the most inelegant way.

Those live/work condos next to Exhibition station have probably quadrupled in value. Missed opportunity.

TEK Tower Kitchener (30 Francis) | 45 fl | U/C

@Geekaroo 08-26-2024
From my balcony. Adding a new piece to the crane. Oh yeah, I live in Kitchener now.

@CP42 08-29-2024

@emphurent 08-29-2024

Contrasts:

The podium design from the north will be very oppressive (see below). I like the massing matches the factory block, but the flourishes should've leaned way more in that direction.

A one sided canyon is forming.

Station Park Kitchener

@emphurent 08-29-2024

The window wall treatment now becoming visible. Hello to the other person who I saw taking photos at the same time!

I'm glad the spandrel is darker so the contrast is higher, but this design in a pair set will be a lot.

The offices here are still slowly being finished.

Interesting. TEK appears to be using an inset stick curtainwall system.

Making Toronto look bargain basement eventhough 1 Square Phillip is a glass box; Livmore is a black Ottawa/Quebec box; Odea doesn't jive with me. (however, most Latin American tower in Canada?) Great pics highlighting 900 St Jacques
