However, last night, the umpires were garbage. We will never know, but the Jays might have lost the game due to the umpires last night.
That strike call at the top of the 2nd inning, when it was clearly a walk, was some next level bullshit...
There were other bad calls as well, most in favor of the Dodgers. Thank god baseball has challenges now (Jays challenged a call on 3rd base and won), but can't wait for the ball strike challenge to come online next year. The umpires are a relic of the past. They need to go. Cameras can do the job better than them...
Have a video replay room, and one umpire to relay the decisions on field, when in doubt. That's all you need.
