Here is one of my favourite urban canyon vistas from Vancouver. I took these pics on Thursday.

Thanks, the Bentall 3 and 4 towers are among my favorite downtown. They have such a strong business appeal to them. The area around the Burrard skytrain station in general is fantastic.

Agreed. You took a great set that day.

And as an aside, consider this photo of one of Montreal's downtown bike lanes with a car parked in it on the next block. That used to happen all the time on Dunsmuir street in Vancouver before the it was upgraded to a two-way separated bike route as seen in Metro-One's photos. That is a big part of why those lanes are so appreciated by cyclists like myself. Plus the same amount of road space is required with Montreal's painted lanes as with planters.

It looks like there is more than one car parked in the lane, it may be legal to park in the bike lane at certain times.

Don't know why they would do that though...

Metro, great shots, im excited to give the new bike lanes a spin when im back this summer.

Actually, the cars aren't parked in the bike lane - the street widens slightly at this point and the bike lane moves just to the left of the parked cars. Prior to this intersection the bike lane is next to the sidewalk, for a couple of blocks, and parking isn't allowed.

I find it fun to just walk around, quite like the Las Vegas strip.. I just won't spend money to see a wax museum of "the stars" that includes Twilight..

I come from a big city that has Yonge Street as the main thoroughfare and yet I find the pedestrian traffic on Clifton Hill amazing, the fact that at times you have to resort to walking on the street when pushed off the sidewalk is a crazy for such a small town.

In this fact I know that no other small town in Canada can match Niagara fall for pure excitement, street action or skyscrapers.
