Interesting 9th and Colorado news:

I wonder if AMC will close its Cherry Creek mall theatres once this opens. Very cool development, for sure.

Good article on some year-over-year stats on multi-family construction permits nationwide and in Denver from May 2017 to May 2018:

Although the title is extremely misleading as the "cooldown" they are referring too is 8.5% reduction nationwide from April 2018. The year-over-year change is an increase of 14.4% in Denver.....

So, no slowdown in the apartment construction here from what I can tell....

Although I am still waiting on this ramp up of condos that was somewhat anticipated after last years court rulings on defects, etc.

Was out in the RiNo area this morning and decided to snap a couple pictures from the North Wynkoop project (http://www.northwynkoop.com/). Specifically, the Mission Ballroom under construction (http://www.missionballroom.com/). The first image is just the music venue, but the second is a pano. It appears the warehouses to the right are being maintained, and the original structures will be incorporated into the mixed-use design. There's also an office space cross the street on the west side of Brighton that's completed. Definitely my favorite project in RiNo under construction right now.

Do we know when actual construction will begin on this? I happen to drive by it today and didn't see what looked like construction activity. Then again, they stated they don't plan on opening until 2020, so it may be a bit yet.

Interesting the site commitment from Postino; I'll assume their 1st location in Highlands is doing well. Afaik this will be the 1st location that isn't an
adaptive reuse which has been a key part of their 'signature.'

I've enjoyed dinning at their original location which is an area comparable to a blend of Cherry Creek and Wash Park.
From the original adaptive reuse of an old Post Office, they've come along way and obviously have grown fond of Denver.

They might be referring to what feels like a slowdown more recently as these (metro) statistics are 12-month totals through May 2018 and most of the starts
I think were dated in 2017. In any case there's definitely still a boatload of units under construction.

Wow, very interesting. The link to the city meeting documents on that article are a treasure trove breakdown on what's discussed in the article. Interestingly, in the official documents, they state work is to begin in 2018, not 2019 as Denverite suggests. Perhaps that was a typo and Denverite clarified that. It's also interesting to see this public-private partnership moving forward with both parties clearly interested in moving to the next steps.

It looks like 1420 Wynkoop is finally moving forward. A site development plan has been submitted. Unico is the developer:

A sdp has been submitted for Two Tabor. The city has a site development map that shows it.

I just drove by that site yesterday. No activity to speak of. But... it appeared there were parts for a crane of sorts. However, that could have been put there a while ago when the building was originally supposed to go up. I know this one has been on the board for quite sometime. But, if it does break ground, that plus Jefferson View will dramatically alter that immediate neighborhood.
