I can just see it now. A 17 year old KevinFromTexas sitting in a room with a view of that and the teacher slamming her ruler on the desk and yelling "pay attention, Kevin!"

I love the side on profile view of the skyline there.

Crockett. No skyline views there at the time, but there are some buildings starting to poke up from the track. All three of the schools I went to now have some kind of skyline view now.

I played in many games for Anderson at House Park back in the day. Wish I had a downtown skyline view like they do now when I played.

I played at Austin High class of '08. We had a sweet view from our practice field. I remember watching 360 go up. ACL was also awesome because during practice we'd hear the bands warming up.

A while back, when my brother was a UT cop, he took me up the tower around 2am, pre anti suicide cage and it was surreal to say the least. The view was amazing even though there was nothing over 400 ft to look at. Btw, not all of Whitman's victims were shot. Unless they replaced the green floor tiles on the observation deck level, you could see an area of blood bleached tiles by a desk where an unfortunate UT employee was hacked to death by ax. While we were up there, we heard quite a few strange noises that creeped the crap out of me.

I did not know about the axe. That is pretty brutal.

Beautiful clip. Yeah, what happened at the UT Tower. It's definitely a place I have weird feelings about ever visiting. I'd love to for that view of the city, but what happened there. Not gonna lie I'm not sure I'd want to. I've taken the elevator up to the top floor with a friend who was visiting from Chicago, but we didn't get to visit the deck.

Both of my grandfathers were downtown the day of the tower shooting. My paternal grandfather worked on campus, and was there that day. He said he could see the powder flashes from Whitman's rifle and realized it probably could have made him a target being that close.

Had a monthly drone meeting at Zilker park yesterday. Did not like the angle of the sun but here are a few pictures.

I am always gobsmacked by your incredible photos sir, but this one with the Zilker moon tower is truly postcard-ready.

Thank you. I was trying for the same effect that turned out well with my San Antonio pictures with the Tower of the Americas. I wasnt completely please with the photo because of the suns location. But I am my harshest critic. I do love everyone else's photos more.
Here is the San Antonio picture for reference.
