800+ is an arbitrary number. You can thank Malaysia for showing the world that the supertall race was free game for all and redefining what supertalls meant as far as city status.

I dont think any building will ever hold the record for the tallest as long as the Empire State Building.

Why is everybody talking about Al Burj again? Everything that was posted is 2 years old at the vey least.

Did anybody bother to notice that Sky Towers Adrian Smith interview on the Burj Dubai tower has been on his website for some time?

It`s difficult to take night pics of the Burj Dubai.

Cropped and chopped, but finally had some time to post a nice pic showing the massive cluster of cranes along with the new highrise neighbors of the WTB.

Original here (2.3MB)

Surprised nobody commented on SkyT's scoop that nobody seems to appreciate. The hard effort it was to snag this interviw that nobody can seem to arrange, and for the sole purpose of sharing it with us skyscraper fans. Nice work and nice effort to be able to ask one of the original designers of this historical project. Maybe a part 2 can be in the works now that a door was opened a little.

One of the best, if not the best, contribution to this tower I've seen in a long time, on any website.

I like to comment in that few people have done as much to give us information on BD as Skytower has. In fact he is number one in my books with his efforts. Many in the other website undermine his numbers on the height of the building as it is going up. I for one believe his GPS information and go by what dubaimegaprojects is posting for height.
