Remai's building on College and Broad is U/C. There is already a big hole.

Does anyone know why Johnson's boundary does not cross Victoria? It seems odd. I know there is socio-economic divide at Vic, but that can't be the reason. The new high school will be in the white square marked "future development". It seems rather close to Johnson.

Are you referring to Mosaic Stadium, or the sink hole?

Sorry I can't agree with you. This is a pale shadow of the buildings done by Robinson Residential

Maybe it's been mentioned on here. NIS looks to be laying new sewer and water pipe next to ring road south east by sask poly tech after wascana parkway bridge. There is also earth scrapers removing the field that is there.

It was announced as medical place but I belive that is now the inner city one on Albert Street.

Any ideas?

It’s a “Specialized” Long Term Care facility to replace Pioneer Village.

The attendance boundaries are a little odd. I don’t think it has to do with socio-economics - Balfour and Miller are probably the most diverse schools in the city in that sense. I suspect it is a combination of the location of school size and location of feeder schools. Looking at the map, it would make more sense for the area from Broad to (what I assume is) Park to be part of the Balfour catchment and the isolated area that is part of Balfour catchment (Windsor Park?) to be part of Johnson’s. Johnson is a smaller school though so may not have the capacity for the number of students in that area. Since they closed Haultain, the kids in that area are bussed to Glen Elm (or Hawrylak for French Immersion). Glen Elm feeds into Johnson so that’s where they now go while Haultain was a Balfour feeder school. I suspect capacity and number of kids are why there’s that odd Balfour/Campbell divide in the far southeast as well.

It will be interesting to see how they realign when the new schools are operational.

In the last couple of weeks I have seen permits issued for infills in Lakeview for $1.5 million and 1.75 million. With land, demo and other costs these house are well over $2 million. 31 block Angus St and 29 Block Retallack.

Every few years you see a massive house filling the entire lot go up along Kings Road.

3 of these were approved by the RPC for the 41 block of Queen near the rugby fields. It seems like a pretty good location with tons of street parking and not much around it (airport flight path). Still, 43of 47 residents were completely opposed.

Folks are going to need to get used to this. I am not sure I would be thrilled about having one of these right next to my house.

I like the increase in density. I do not like the god awful stucco quasi-Scandinavian design

I am OK with the street elevation. The other elevations are really stark. A nice row of fast-growing, columnar poplars might deal with that.

People need to get used to the fact that they live in a City and cities change and grow.
If you don't want to be near any multi-unit housing, go live on an acreage or small town.

In a perfect world perhaps, but we knew something along this scale would never happen here, especially now that construction costs have gone way up.

There is a proposal from the first nations group, but the mayor will not Look at it it’s a time for her to go It’s pretty disgusting what is happening in Regina all she does is social media updates no announcements on nothing. It’s really quite pathetic.
