What you see is what you get, unfortunately. The minimalist ceiling design prevents the same curved edging or any elegant interfacing with the existing station.
It's going to make the old platform feel really weird from the new platform because you will feel like you are standing outside
the station. Think like what New Westminster looked like after the first reno where the ticket hall was a medium ceiling alcove with recessed lights and curved corner panels while the area around it now opened into a large space.
I looked into my photo archive and it seems I did not get a photograph of this before the old entrance was closed for the second reno and this was all ripped out.
