Presumably they will have everything ready for a lighting Thursday evening (4th of July). I would expect no less from this building, on that day.

I imagine it will look better once they get rid of the red/white/blue lighting scheme of the building itself. The question is the rotating beacon, how it plays with the lighting.

Does anyone know if all the temporary platforms will be removed before the 4th?

The rotating beacon, that, I'm sure is going to be fantastic! I can't wait to see it running full time

That was photoshopped - the original picture does not have the antenna lighted or the beacon on. It is what you call "an artist illustration" of what it might look like.

Traynor is doing a pretty good job

It's the color scheme I'm thinking about. I hope it's coordinated enough that the beacon and mast don't compete with each other.

It would be nice if they could do a coordinated laser show with the SI Wheel or even the Empire State (which will have it's own light show tomorrow night).
I remember the original towers had the laser show for a while.

12-Foot-Tall Lego One World Trade Center Lives Up to Its Inspiration

Mario Aguilar

Quote:
The Lego Discovery Center in Westchester County, New York, has unveiled a new masterpiece: a 110-pound, 4,873 brick, 12-foot-tall model of One World Trade Center. It's spectacular.

What better way to celebrate the Fourth of July than with an absolutely stunning replica of the building that represents the indomitable American spirit? In the image (below), you see
Steve Plate, Director of World Trade Center Construction planning a tiny Lego flag on top of the tower—good practice for when the 1776-foot WTC 1 is finally completed later this year.

The lit spire really makes the tower look like a villain's headquarters! Awesome.

Then you better go back the last several pages and start deleting and tell your Mod to knock it off.

I can't believe that they already started lighting up the antenna in different colors! I hope that it lights up in red again for tomorrow night, because it is my favorite color!
