If a 228 meter tower was U/C in downtown Toronto, people would care about it.

I think.

Nothing against Etobicoke or anything, I'm kinda proud they will have the tallest suburban tower for now, anyways.

Hey, I care about Eau du Soleil. I'm looking forward to its completion, as it should be quite a striking addition to the burgeoning Humber skyline. Those Beyond the Sea towers are rather tacky, however.

I agree. I used to love not too far from where Eau de Soleil is being constructed, and I'm certainly interested to see how that neighbourhood is developing.

I drove by it yesterday, and it's quite the contrast to when I left that area 7 years ago. I also got to enjoy the Gardiner canyon for the first time in months too. The addition of Ten York and Harbourplaza is really adding to that drive in a dramatic, and favourable way. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

My interests in Eau du Soleil lie solely in its specs. I don't see anything worthy in the design and the development team suggests another poorly finished, spandrel heavy tower.

The Humber Bay Shore neighbourhood is a nighmare right now. The infrastructure and amenities fall well short for the population density. Market values could get hit hard if the market softens before these things are remedied.

Speaking of market value, I can't believe some of the prices in York Region. Mind you there is a premium for newly built over resale. Still, these townhouses in the hinterlands by Bathurst and 16th are selling for as much as a renovated semi with an actual yard in Riverdale. I'm not complaining. Good for me if 905ers don't realize there's more to Toronto than the high valued neighbourhoods along Yonge.
