Ok. I don't think they are moving up the hill though.

This is a new build that use to be zoned as 384 Sherwood Road. It has been rezoned as 289 Brackley Point Road. It fronts both roadways.

A wasted opportunity for more density if you ask me.

That's in my neighbourhood. While it's not too high, i'm still happy that it is infill and an empty lot (former Brick store) is being filled up.

Anyone know why they are removing the soil
and pavement, and a lot of it, from the former parking area
between the Superstore and Mayflower Apts on Queen St?

Wasn't there a proposal to put a 6 or 7 floor condo/apartment here?

More to follow.....

Any updates on this one? I see the parking lot has been ripped out and fencing has been installed.

There was a proposed apartment planned for there called "Queensway Apartments". My post above is asking for an update from a member here who has had information in the past.

Originally there was a proposal but that was delayed by an ongoing land dispute, as per APM. I don't see any signs as yet. There is
a lot of soil being moved out. It certainly doesn't look like a refill for a parking lot upgrade
that's for sure.
If this is that proposal, this will be a nice addition to the area and will add density and a great place close to amenities, etc.

I haven't heard anything on the start of Queensway Apartments. The images and powerpoint have been pulled. I did know there was a land dispute but maybe that has been resolved. So far I haven't seen or heard anything new, not even a permit approval. Looks like we'll have to wait!!

I think the permit was approved several years ago.

I know Honibe is being expanded, but are they also widening the road or building an access road? They have a strip cleared along the length of the entire business park.

Summerside building a new fire hall just became much more likely

The Guardian

I hope they take a look at the state-of-the-art EMS/Fire/Police facility that was built in Stratford. Get it right the first time!

Summerside's fire hall sustained roof damage in 2018 thanks to a significant windstorm. It was not the first time the building has suffered damage at the hands of Mother Nature. The building is almost 60 years old and in need of significant repairs or replacement.

Speaking of fire stations, has anyone heard anything more on the new fire hall on Malpeque Rd? There has
been a lot of development in that area in the last 9 months with a lot proposed and presently under construction.
