Thanks for clearing that up, so I'm guessing ,150 g refers to the glass used, and it looks like 1 big mirror

I was thinking the same thing, how long will it take to zip the zipper, however I imagine it'll be awhile before that happens at leats until the roof is complete, meaning everything upthere complete. That's my guess.

150G refers to 2WTC, but the glass on this tower will blend in with the sky well also.

Trying to simulate the lighting on the rings.

[QUOTE=PMadFlyer;6133566]150G refers to 2WTC, but the glass on this tower will blend in with the sky well al
It took me awhile to learn that 1 and 4 used different glass, and they both serve different purposes, from what I understood 4 was supposed to look like a mirror, it's cladding, and 1 was supposed to be different???
So what you're saying is all the towers are going to have different glass? just slightly different looking, and for different purposes? I'm no pro, I can't even pretend to know what you're talking about when you say 150g and what tower you're referring to, I'm thinking the 45degree angle,on tower 2 and how it looks? To me and looking at all the renders, 4 looks a tad more "silver" or mirror like than 1, but then they look different depending on the weather. Sometimes they look alike (too me, when it's cloudy, different when sunny) am I misssing a crucial part of how their using these different forms of glass and the reasons why? It would be great if you can give me a simple answer here, if it's much more elaborate, and you got the time and want to PM me.

2WTC is 200 Greenwich, not 150. That's 4 WTC.

I seriously must apologize for the rampant confusion that my WTC tower naming convention seems to have caused.
For those with lingering questions (and I don't mean to be snarky here):
Tower One=1WTC, of course.
Tower Two (2WTC)=200G
Tower Three (3WTC)=175G
Tower Four (4WTC)=150G.
In all cases, G for Greenwich Street.

Wow this forum hasn't had much activity in the past two days. Still really good if you compare it to the other fourth but still for this forum that's rare haha! Does anyone know when the beckons LED's will be lit up for the first time? Same thing for the colored spire when will that be lit for the first time? Thanks!!!

In spite of the negatives surrounding Durst's management of this building I will say this: 1WTC is very American looking. I'm not sure if it's the symmetrical proportions, or the now industrial looking spiretenna but it appears like a quintessentially American skyscraper.

That said, right now the spiretenna looks disproportionately tall. I wonder if the guy wires will help that at all?

The WTC has it's own ZIP code. It doesn't need a street address. The original towers also had no street addresses. I think the only reason they decided to give the new 2-4 WTC street addresses was in a nod to the extension of Greenwich Street back through the site (something it hasn't done since the Radio Row days). I'm fairly confident you'll be able to send a letter to "2 World Trade Center" and it'll arrive.

I have yet to see a picture of 1 WTC and the rest of the NYC skyline complementing the Statue of Liberty since the completion of the mast. That view of the harbor and city is one of, if not the most iconic.

Almost all of these -if not all- photos the Authority uploads to Facebook comes from internal communication reports, they generally wait at least a week to make public just a handle of these.
