That's weird, the NHL website shows the Canucks 1st in the league.

Odd indeed, as I'm looking at the same website for 11 January and shows Wpg with 60 points in first and Van with 59 points in second

Not that odd. Van was in the east, Win was at home, so the Van game was done earlier.

Canucks beat the Pens in OT after Crosby scored with 30 seconds left in regulation. Vancouver is legit this year as they don't quit and they are able to bounce back in tough situations like that.

Guess they hadn’t updated the standings, even after the jets game was over.

Canucks have a lot of soft games coming up so they have a shot at 1st overall.

The Lotto Line is insane right now. Pettersson has 12 points in 4 games. Before the lotto line was reunited, Pettersson was playing with 3rd line players and Kuzmenko, who hasnt done much this season, and was still on track for 100 point season. Pettersson would almost certainly be at or above Kucherov if the lotto line plays together right from the start. Need another top 6 forward to create a good 2nd line if the Canucks want to keep them (lotto line) together for the duration of the season.

I understand that the third line break up would suffer... but add Hoglander in place of Garland.

A game similar to that of Chicago and Detroit, but a W is a W and that's 10 in a row baby!

Longest win streak in Oilers history and tied the most away wins streak I believe.

All good things must come to an end.

Jets did not play a bad game. The Flyers goalie had an insane game. When we get KFC and Scheifele back in less than a week, our offense will be better.

I think the Flyers are for real now. You don't get a shutout on the road against the best team in the league by happenstance. They have been getting a lot of comeback wins (like in Minnesota the night before) and a lot of overtime wins. This is not like the team from 2 years ago. Of course, this doesn't mean the rebuild is complete; in fact, they may need to be sellers to be really ready 4 years from now.

The Flyers are set at goal (for now). Carter Hart has been a good goalie for a couple years, and everyone is hoping he has a breakthrough to become a great goalie, but we may know the type of player he is anyway. Errson has been a great backup this year. I didn't think he would hold on with the shutout.

On a note besides the game, I was glad to see Keith Jones and Daniel Briere dump Cutter Gautier after he ghosted them in Sweden. They got good value for him, considering that he said he didn't want to play for the Flyers. They apparently kept that news under wrap really well, because his trade value was still pretty good.

Didn't take long into the third for the Leafs to inevitably blow another lead. They may salvage this yet but I fear Sheldon Keefe may be reaching the end of the line.

Caveat the Leafs have dealt with 1-2 goalies injured at every point of this season, but we knew defence would be the weak spot after depth scoring had been addressed. Time to trade something up front for more help on defence, it can no longer be ignored.

That's 11 baby!

After pretty terrible hockey for the first 10 minutes, things shaped up, we controlled and what a fun game to be at. The crowd was as it was expected to be and the hurt on the Leafs fans faces going up 3-2 was worth all the marbles.
