Kinda makes me sad. I spent many nights at amber jacks when I was younger.

Amber Jacks was fun. My wife was actually annoyed because when we moved to Park Place she found Amber Jacks and thought it was a nice little pub that felt like a pub. Then about 2 weeks later found out they were going to close down and be torn down.

Her biggest annoyance in Vancouver is that she has never been able to find a good "neighborhood pub like in London or Dublin" where she lived for many years.

I don't drink so *shrug* no skin off my back. Hopefully they build a pub in the complex somewhere not just another chain restaurant.

well if she wants a decent pub with good food I'd suggest station up in guildford.

I've also found out mirage is planing to change its permits from night club to local pub too with their new patio reno happening. But i think its gonna be more like one of those pubs that are also like a night club.

Currently at 4 levels. I think 9 levels will be just perfect considering the ceilings look to be at least 10-12 feet high. It will definitely be tall enough to have a presence.

No more details yet but Phase 2 of the project (the large retail portion, main retail front street, connection to KGB, and second office tower and first residential tower) is under review.

http://developers.surrey.ca/AMANDA5/...tNumber=14-231

Will post once they put up a planning report, probably still several months away. I'm sure PCI will want to roll right into phase 2 when they get closer to having phase 1 complete for the simple reason that the main access road fronts both phases and it may be a pain to open up a nice new Coast Capital Headquarters with half a road and fences all over the place.
