While taking pics in Riverview I noticed BellaCasa finally took down their gawdy signage on Coverdale road in favor of a proper sign with single logo.

Here's a link to the pdf for the agenda of the July meeting of the Riverview PAC.

http://www.townofriverview.ca/en/res...016-Agenda.pdf

Nothing at all remarkable in this document, but it is a bit of a sensation in that this is only the third meeting of the committee this year.

It sort of puts pay to the notion of a "monthly" meeting..........

Compared to the goings on in both Moncton and Dieppe, Riverview is certainly a laggard.

I'm a little surprised that absolutely nothing has been added to 540 pinewood since Pita Pit was added roughly 10 months ago. You'd think with all the added residential at Findlay estates that at least a few other retailers would be attracted.

They ran a pop up shop for a month in February with Cafe Codiac/Downeast and Seqouia. Unsure how successful that was.

From a personal note I think Riverview is having an opposite symptom then Moncton, and Dieppe are. In both Moncton, and Dieppe it seems they try to fill newer constructed Units first, and in Riverview if anything comes it they seem to flood towards older buildings that already have a client base coming in.

But of course that's just my opinion on the situation.

Just the way we like it. You can have all the dust and noise. We'll be over when you're finished.

Not much happening in Riverview, except two new Pokemon Gyms are now on the map.

T&T is reporting that Global Gym on Pine Glen has suddenly closed. New owner will move it (and the one on Mapleton) to Albert Street in Moncton.

Nothing spectacular here. The highlight seems to be a request for variance to allow for larger signs advertising the Dobson Landing development.

Finally, a second tenant for Pinewood Plaza aside from that rather lonely looking Pita Pit

Nothing retail or restaurant related however. Apparently the tenant will be a new indoors kiddie play park.

Still, this is the most exciting thing to hit Riverview in months!!!

My 7 year old is super excited. I'm happy to have a place to bring him this winter too.

The new indoor playpark is an offshoot of a local company called Par-T-Perfect. They do mostly outdoor events for festivals, grand openings, birthdays, etc.
There are no others like it in Riverview, so I think it may be a nice addition.

I took a picture while driving by a few nights ago, but I'm new to this forum and I haven't figured out how to upload a pic yet.

Riverview Expanding...

According to a T&T article:

Riverview town council has approved the purchased of a 9.2 Acre lot on the South west side of the town (outside town lines) for a future ring road. The purchase would cost the town 205,600$.

The ring road would loop around the town much like Wheeler Blvd does in Moncton.

According to the logic of the council this move is because there thinking of the future of Riverview.

If I understand there whole mindset it has to do with the way both Moncton, and Dieppe are expanding and the Belief Riverview may have to follow suit in a sense.

It has been on their road plan for a while. Good to see they are making progress.

Since there drawn in road is within the town's Boundary I'm thinking there might be a little bit of a change since the land slated for purchase does in fact sit outside of the town boundary.

Good to see Riverview planning ahead, but according to the T&T, construction won't occur until 2024, at the very earliest.

No - the purchased land and future road are within existing town boundaries. Even the article says that.

I wonder if this would stimulate more development in Findlay Park? It seems stalled since Sobeys opened a few years ago.

The new Par-T-Perfect Indoor Playground on Pinewood.

My apologies. I still have not been able to figure out the process of uploading a picture.
