A photo of Kaohsiung's skyline taken last week. Not the best angle, but the sunset that day was amazing.

Holy shit WonderlandPark! You have systematically gathered what seems to be the absolute best angle of every city you've ever been to. Amazing.

well, pittsburgh and san diego are beautiful in these shots. chicago is underwhelming, because it just does not look as large as it is. Albuquerque, des moines, phoenix, memphis, nashville, minneapolis, tulsa, okc, and baltimore, along w/ several others makes the rather poor showing list, however, i know some of these cities look much better than the photos. i think skycraper city posters should contact city officials and tell them about the perceptions of the cities that need some work on their presentations, milkaukee, for example, and several of the really large city propers, should hear some of the constructive complaints.

knoxville, boise, fail. kansas city, kansas and kansas city, mo are very nice looking.

imo, toronto is one of those great cities that happen to have wonderful symmetry. i don't know if that were planned or just happened. one thing i do know is that it really does help showcase the city. very nice. i wish some of the american cities that allow developers to build skyscrapers of such enormous proportions, would think about the real possibilities of that particular city growing to the point that 6 to 12 skyscrapers of ten stories <> will likely balance such out of place structures in the city's future.

Well, true some of those skylines do not show the full skyline but you have to admit he got a lot of angles of cities that I wouldn't think a "traveler" would know about. That's what impressed me.

Some people seem to be forgetting how this thread works.

That means you get to pick one city to rep and one pic to do it with. Choose wisely!

Boise.

I shot this photo last month. I have others which I feel give a better idea of the size and density of the skyline, such as from Table Rock, but this photo shows the mountains so I decided to post this one. If two photos were allowed I could post an awesome view from the foothills looking down on the city.

Our new soon to be tallest is under construction in the center.

That was a great compilation Wonderlandpark posted. Unfortunate that a phenomenal and original contribution to the thread was erased because of some arbitrary rule. I could understand if he posted fifty pictures of the same neighborhood, but he just posted a single photo of each city. Was that really a "rule" that needed to be enforced?

That was unnecessary, especially considering this thread had all but died until he took the time to post his own skyline shots. What was the harm?
