We should know on Monday if State projects like this one (Block 164 only), 1601 Congress & 1801 Congress and DKR follow Travis Co.'s SIP Order. I can't find any info about that, but the State (and UT) don't necessarily follow local rules.

Interesting angles, allows us to see that they did dig under what will be the Red River extension.
What are they going to put under the Red River extension?

It looks like the Block 164 tower crane is going up. From the DKR webcam:

When I have more time, I think I'll split Block 164 into its own thread since the Brackenridge project in its current form is being developed piecemeal over a long period of time.

When is the old Brackenridge hospital going to be demolished?

Is there a CVC over this area?

More Demo has started in the past week. It can be seen from the Alexan webcam.

I noticed this morning that they've started demolishing the main Brackenridge Tower. The southeast corner looks to have been either chewed up by the jaws of death or smashed by the wrecking ball. I didn't have time to snap a photo since we were on I-35 and I was shocked to see it and just kind of gawked at it as we went by. I'll try to snap a photo tomorrow morning on our way past again.

Implosions are cool. But this type of demo makes for some long foreplay.

my youngest daughter was born there. It will be sad to see it gone. Same with the Frank Erwin Center. So many memories like graduation.

Is the Erwin center where she was conceived?

End of an era, for sure. Both the tower and the Erwin Center (which is now on borrowed time, of course).

Any updated plans on the Brackenridge Campus redevelopment? I haven't seen anything in a while.
