That's what it looks like in renders, so I'd say so. But there's renders showing a red W and a white W, anyone know which one they're doing?

No idea on the color of the W, hoping for white though, think that would look better than red.

On another note, I may have missed this but has there been an answer on the blank wall situation on the north face? I was walking down North Broad this morning from around Race & just happened to look up & the gravity of the sheer size of that blankness hit me particularly now that the top has risen above the residences.

While renderings show a white and red W, see this:

"The Lighting Practice is proud to be a part of the project team led by Vine Street Matthews Development and Cope Linder Architects, who have combined their efforts to place the 582 feet tower in the heart of Philadelphia. TLP is responsible for designing the exterior lighting of the 51 story skyscraper.

TLP’s project scope includes the building crown and façade, hotel entries on Chestnut Street and the terrace on level seven. The exterior design will include strips of dynamic white LED lights embedded in the tower’s façade, which, at times, will have a cascading effect. The building’s crown was designed to resemble the cliffs along the Schuylkill River in Fairmont Park."

Sick, cascading.
Do wish it could change color though

Saw this morning from Vine Street that the "W" is actually recessed into the concrete at the new top portion, at least on the North side. I guess it will literally be in the wall. Unsafe to take a photo but perhaps someone can corroborate.

I took a photo of it when they only had half of it finished on post #3079

Well. There it is. It'll be nice to have another brightly lit sign in Center City. I suppose we don't have too many of those, don't we?

Would you rather that skyline pictures at night be inky black, shrouded in eternal darkness? At least this will be aesthetically pleasing.

No, of course not. Where did you get the idea that I did?

Forgive me, I must’ve taken your sarcasm above the wrong way.

For most of the time when this was under construction, it looked just just another plain box coming up. The distinctive shape at the top is definitely taking form.

These last few photos are incredible; this building has good presence from the south. During the Eagles game I really notice the building at night as well from where I was sitting.

Remember when we thought the glass was gonna look like the RATR? Thank god it seems to have become its own shade of blue as more is added on.
