I've also noticed how seafoam is on its way out, and more builds are going for a dark black (Sussex, Amazing Brentwood), which I approve of.
I second that! Balconies that stick out are just plain ugliness, especially the smaller ones that do not wrap around the building.

Still amazed that this particular Councillor found this building ugly. Thank God she was the minority here.

it doesn't come across the same way in this pic but the Etoile behind makes it look really dense now

And the growing Lougheed Skyline, a little further west and the COL tower really is the highest tower in there now

2421 Alpha judging from the mention here: https://www.burnabynow.com/real-esta...aby-1.23321208

Rezoning application confirms that it's just this parcel.

It's a fine filler tower. Will be rather visible as it will be at the front of that row.

Has anyone heard anything regarding the Grosvenor assembly that was announced at the beginning of the year? I realize that the world is quite a different place since then, but to my knowledge, nothing public has happened with the site other than they've been using it as a venue for food trucks.

It’s definitely going to deliver for the area and I’m sure everyone will be happy with the density.

Which project is this?

The one that I hope moves forward without reductions is the 80 floor tower we saw for Lougheed Town Centre. No news on that since we saw the initial renders.

I'm not sure that one's even gotten beyond the project proposal/first reading/ rezoning application phase yet.

If anything it seems like its the one with the longest to go before we even begin to see any progress.

Good to hear that a project is still in the works, then. Seeing the progress on the Hornby Street project got me thinking of this one.

It's basically the block directly east of the Carter Chev dealership. https://renx.ca/grosvenor-americas-a...d-town-centre/

Ah, okay, I remember that one, thanks!

Tallest towers top out at around 40 or 50 floors right?

I wonder when Carter is going to go. A pretty massive development could fit in there.

For the tallest tower in Brentwood though I got my fingers crossed for the Petro-Canada site. Would fit perfectly.
