I saw that rendering. In a way I really like it and will add some residences to a pretty dead part of the city.

Here's a few more photos I took of Victoria. These three were taken from the top of Mt. Tolmie.

Great shots GS! Those last few were taken from the Bay Street Bridge? It looks like the coach in the motorboat is taking a selfie, hehe.

Thanks Zoomer and Apey... Yes they were taken from the Bay Street Bridge. I wanted to take a couple of other photos but there was a massive barge blocking the view.

I took this photo of the Telus Ocean development on Sunday. They are making progress on the excavation...

Well it seems my 2 week suspension is over

Something I learned over this was that my inbox is full so even if some mod tried to explain why I was suspended I couldn't have read it so I should probably delete some of those older messages that date back to 2006. The craziest thing is, when I signed up in 2006 I had already been a member of this site for years, that's how long i've been coming here

I'm glad you are back on SSP Phil.

Here's a different photo I took last Sunday.

So, is that where they buried Phil alive? And you used the loader to dig him out? Suspensions are a lot harsher than they used to be here that’s for sure.

That's funny Zoomer.

I took this photo today while driving back from an estimate. The Mod is looking really good. I can't wait to see it finished.

I was able to make it to the old University Heights Mall before it was fenced off and demolition started. I took photos of the old JJ Morgan's restaurant, The CIBC bank, The Save on Foods Grocery Store, and Thrifty Food's liquor store. I'm going to take some more photos this week. It's a massive development in Saanich which is home to The Home Depot...

Nice perspective from that angle GS!

And wow - I haven’t been up to University Heights Mall in ages. Crazy to think of all that demolition and the waste produced - then again it’ll be great to see all that new housing and a better use of the land up there. Hopefully one day we’ll see much more density and a proper town centre in that part of Saanich closer to the University. It’s like they don’t really want a town centre so they’re happy to just have it connected to Victoria’s in a far corner of Saanich.

Thanks for sharing GreatScaper.

Looking at the photos of University Hight's, and JJ Morgan's is leaving tears in my eyes! So many firsts, and tones of memories! One being met the daughter of the former owner and was told the restaurant was named after her and her brother. How true this was not sure, as she claimed her brother was Jamie Priestley from 90210 fame. Then after his death the dad spiraled and hence why JJ Morgan's fell into ruins...

That's really interesting. I didn't know that. My dad use to work with the dad of Jason Priestley. I'll ask him if he knows anything about this.

Zoomer
Thanks for the kind comments on my photos. I always enjoy your feedback. There's also another brand new 6 story condo building that is almost finished across the road from this development and the other building and parking lots across the street is slated for demolition too. I'll take a photo of the new building soon and post it. It's definitely a growing neighborhood.

Here's another photo I took from Mt. Tolmie the other day...

Thank you so much Jarrod.

I took this photo a couple of Sundays ago. Looking down Douglas Street to Downtown. A busy Sunday afternoon.

New pics! You’ve been busy GS! Interesting to see how low the snow is on the American mountains - well relatively low.

Thanks so much Zoomer. . It's been such a cold March so far. Quite unusual. Yes I managed to sneak in a few photos in the last couple of weeks. I've been so busy in my business. I can't keep up. Even working this Sunday which I hate to do. We need to do another photo tour soon. Maybe in a few weeks?
