"I believe they will also install it today. You have all this media coverage there. Why would you make them come back? I believe we will see it topped out before the day is over."

^ That would be AWESOME. It wouldn't make any sense to mount it on the roof for 5 days. Thanks for the link, mheadroom. She's already 1/4 of the way up!

Hey - STOP bitching about other peoples bitching....Who the hell would ever think that a buildings construction schedule would be dependent on a media event....get a grip dude, I was simply stating my disapointment for not being able to see the event in person the next day....because of a lack of reliable information about its installation.

Lighten up everybody.

Ohhhhhhhhhh I totally just figured it out. Why May 2nd was a better day than April 30 or May 1st: Osama bin Laden's death date. OMG I can't believe I forgot about that. Now I see why they put it off.

Thanks for posting the screen shots everybody!
Wish I could have been there in person to see it installed.

Crazy to think the glass and entrance will be the last visible construction projects to watch on this....untill the interior is done and it opens.

Then we can go see it.

I propose a SSP day 1 year after the observation deck opens,
we should all meet there and celebrate

Well I know your not going to see the work up top from the ground but it would have been cool to see the top lifted from the ground.

I cant imagine what the becan and tower lighting will look like, I hope it
makes up for the covering being removed.

We've come a long way from watching the workers clean out the hole and install the foundation.

Keep the photos coming guys. I appreciate it!

Nope. Not One World Trade Center specifically at least.

IF you consider the deconstruction of the Deutsche Bank (future site of 5 WTC) as part of the World Trade Center complex rebuilding project then THAT did have a fire that killed 2? firefighters back in 2007.
