Maybe they should frame in the boxes better, like with metal cladding or something. Make them pop out more. The view looking straight-on from above is disappointing.

I dont care who thinks i sound stupid or not but this tower is horrible, i seen it and literally felt like crying. The WTC is ruined now. Theres no comparison between the old design and this. Never has a design disappointed me more.

Part of me is okay with it but part of me also feels this way too. It's almost as if they're trying as hard as possible to screw up the WTC, and have been since 9/11.

Exactly! its like the site is cursed! Everything good on this site has been value engineered or completely Downgraded. Looks like they even scrapped 3 WTCs spires...Its just sad to see how badly this all turned out when compared to what could have been.

Ok.. I may sound like a flip flopper but I'm disappointed. It's really hard to imagine anything but Foster's design in the WTC skyline. lol.

I don't hate the new design and it's interesting and it's gonna take some time for me to get used to it but I agree, it's time for the WTC site to move closer to completion so if it means Newscorp moving there to get tower 2 built... then I'm unfortunately all for it.

For those that like the new design and I'm sure I'm in the minority but my favorite part of the tower is the Western-Southern side of the tower. When built, I'm sure it will have a lot of people moving around and about admiring this unique and imposing tower in the site.

It looks like something a first year student would make in sketchup for fun...

There have been no changes to T3's design. The spires are still there.

Why aren't they in the rendering then?

I'm not saying I don't believe you but do you have a source?

You probably would. And when that one is presented, someone would still insists there's a better design out there, if only we just wait a few MORE years.

I'm sorry. The design isn't horrible. Its a superior tower for the site in many ways. And we're already moving towards 20 years after the attacks.

I won't live forever, I want to live with and enjoy a rebuilt WTC, not live in a fantasy world where some imaginary "better" tower exist.

It's a major piece of the puzzle VERY close to becoming reality.

I challenge anyone to find a better view from street level with the old design.

About any changes to tower 3, that's being discussed in that thread. Leave it there.

I am really, really, really disappointed in BIG, I thought he would've came up with something more exciting than this.
I probably would've appreciated this design more if it was built elsewhere and wasn't replacing what all of us would agree would've been a masterpiece.

It looks ok from the ground in that rendering but otherwise it's just a glass version of the Georgia Pacific Center in Atlanta.

There are no new renderings of 3 WTC.

If you're referring to the released renderings of 2 WTC, they are present in some, and not in others, just like 1 WTC is taller in some and shorter in others.

Pay attention to the thing rendered, not the background noise. And if you're going to pay attention to the background noise, don't cherry-pick some, and ignore others.

The one thing this has going for it is it likely has the highest occupied office in the city. Looks like the highest inhabitable floors top out at ~1250 feet. Compare that to 1WTC's ~1150' or 30HY's ~1000 feet and that's pretty good, not too far off the original WTC, and considering NY's highest floors are now/will be residential.

Bjarke Ingels designed The Pyramid, one of the most amazing architecture in the city. I am even more disappointed because as this is WTC site, I was expecting some grand design from him and not another version of terrible cabinet tower from Hudson Yards.

This design will cast to much shadows on WTC park, where is NIMBY we need your help.

This design would have been more interesting as a stand-alone building. Despite their attempts, it just doesn't fit with the WTC complex.
