Wow, actual heights for a Burnaby proposal!

220.4 metres for the tallest.

161.5 metres for the second tower.

I forget the exact height of Gilmore Place. Will this be the new tallest in BC? It will dwarf anything in Metrotown which is not s small feat!

I have Gilmore Place listed on my 150m list. It is either 214.5 or 215.5 metres. Only the height for the tallest tower is known.

True but those 80-floor towers are a much longer way from becoming a reality.

What proposal is that?

Oh right. I remember now. There has been no formal proposal, so I don't think that counts yet.

Awesome. Hopefully this helps spur W. Broadway corridor to seek taller limits.

Metrotown and Burnaby will be in the limelight for the time being.

Nice finds.
The Concord Metrotown Orangerie image has been blasted on Instagram, too.

I like these better than Gilmore Place, but I think the Pinnacle towers at Lougheed look better.

Through the grapevine I have already heard of people inquiring about purchasing units in the Concord Brentwood development, so it must be happening sooner rather than later now.

Do you mean Concord Metrotown or Concord Brentwood (which is already under construction and through presales)?

Well, if they're already giving presentations in China and/or in Chinese, complete with fresh new renderings, then you know that there must be some meat to it.

220m nice! I think the one by Lougheed is supposed to be 260m but I'm not 100% sure.

One of Burnaby’s tallest towers ‘topped off’ on Metrotown’s skyscraper row
Chris Campbell / Burnaby Now
OCTOBER 1, 2020

Sun Tower 1 in Burnaby is seen from a drone. Contributed

The views from the top of more than 42 storeys are, well, dizzying.

Even residents of the new Sun Tower 1, when it’s completed, won’t be up this high. But some will be close. (Scroll through the photos above to see more.)
