I would guess making this change could delay actually getting trains into the terminal by 10 years.

I don't care what route they use but all the planning has been for another route. A change now would create chaos IMHO.

They look to be about as sharp as that turn into the terminal currently is, don't they?

The proposed new route has 2 consecutive sharp turns though. And it's not a terminus, so I imagine those considerations are significant.

I was walking down First St. today and saw them testing the Jenny Holzer digital art show. I didn't have my camera but it looked like this, projected on the second story around the light well (or whatever they call the structure that lets light in from the park).

They are testing the LED lighting at the top of the tower tonight too.

I guess I'll put this here... looks like the sidewalks will be widened along Fremont, at the edge of the plaza and passing under the transit center. (old curb on right, new on left) edit: unless that's a bike lane

Timing for San Francisco’s Transit Center Pushed Back
March 8, 2018

While the 5.4-acre rooftop park atop San Francisco’s future Transbay/Salesforce Transit Center is on track to be fully planted, landscaped and construction complete this June, the timing to complete the $2.3 billion building below has slipped anew.

Originally expected to be substantially complete at the end of 2017, the substantial completion date for the Transit Center building, which doesn’t include final inspections and corrections, has been pushed back to June as well, (so) it’s now looking like a late third-quarter opening for the Salesforce Transit Center, at the earliest . . . .

Anyone else disappointed by the super simplistic design of the gondola?
