In the beginning of October the weather was still warm in Vancouver and so we took our bikes to Ladner in Delta, BC. Here are photos of the Roberts Bank area along the 25km loop ride we did.

Boat houses along Fraser River.

Bike path along shoreline.

Pumpkin field

Roberts Bank has a very shallow shore.

Railcars heading to Deltaport.

Deltaport railyard

Massive Roberts Bank Deltaport complex. Canada's largest container and coal terminal.

Port from afar.

The handsome picture of Deltaport Railyard is officially my new desktop background!

Nice work.

Today, the rain stopped long enough for a little walk. This time I took a few shots of one of the grittier downtown lanes as well as the Victoria Street staircase.

And a few video clips of various scenes from me walk.

Real cities don't have natural rivers with clean water.

I know right!? What kind of inner city suburban wasteland has so many prewar buildings and bustling streets all day every day? Clearly the photos have been tampered with.

It is exceptionally amazing to see those mech. systems on this building - just because you don't expect it to be there.

Also, look @ the roof of the new OSM, already there is rust and moisture strains.

Hello, Yuri! Thank you for photo of Communist Reeducation Centre in Vladivostock. As leader of delegation from Minsk, I have fond memories of 23rd Social Progress Congress for Youth Initiatives In Agriculture. But with good vodka and excellent balalaika playing in style of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast, not too many memories, ho ho!

^ LOL, it is actually a beautiful example of art deco. Plus, it makes sense in our extreme cold climate. That building, Pavilion Roger-Gaudry's design is known to be one of the first University to move away from the traditional spread out campus design. You no longer need to run out in the cold to get to your other class. But you are right, it is imposing, but really beautiful at night to be there.

The sun, the sun, the sun! It came back!

Happy Halloween!

It's some kind of holiday mullet - Halloween below, Christmas above.

Just out of frame to the left, four streets merge together to form that street coming down the hill. I've no idea how they chose which one's name continues on.

Duckworth and McMurdo's Lane.

Peeking down McMurdo's Lane.

We don't have enough flags.

What should I get!?

Toutons and molasses it is!

Confederates should be stoned. The joke being they have a Canadian and marijuana flag on their windows.

Lol! I wouldn't have said exactly that, nor would I have brought it over to this thread, but now that you got me thinking about it, it's true that many of these pics could've been taken in Laval.

(Contrast it with, say, a typical MonkeyRonin set of downtown Toronto pics, in which none of the pics could possibly be from the suburbs.)
