A lazy, miserable day. After brunch at my parents', where Mudder gave me yet another quilt she made for me, ha! I walked down to Gaze Seed for some orchid mix, wildflower seeds, and a bird feeder lol
It appears that SHH has become a full fledged birder (pun intended).
Don't you have a cat??? I know that you did have two, but one died. Did the other one die too? If so, my condolences.
Not quite a birder, but I'll keep the feeder going, sure.
Yes, no cats currently - first of the the two died when I was still at my last place. And the other last year. I'll get another two eventually - indoor only, of course - but taking a breather first.

Sorry to hear. My cat died about 18 months ago. She sits in an urn on the mantlepiece in my family room (my youngest son insisted on cremation, she was his cat, although I had full custody while he was away at university for eight years).
I'll get another cat too., but, like you I am taking a breather. I figure I'll get a kitten in two years when I retire.
Wasn't hot this weekend. Saturday started rainy too. After that, it was sunny for the rest of the weekend. But not hot enough to bring people to the beach. Apparently not even for locals because on both days I visited the parking lot, 4pm Saturday and noon Sunday, it was empty.
My BIL arrived to find this tree fallen over. He heard there was a tornado warning up there. FIL said he saw quite a few trees down in the area. Guy across the street had damage to one of his cars.
And I love strawberry rhubarb pie. I knew what rhubarb stalks looked like. I did not know this is what the whole plant looks like. There were actually leaves three times bigger than in the picture, but my MIL cut them off and gave to the neighbour.
11C and mostly cloudy in Moncton at 10 AM, going up to 21C this afternoon.
Rain tomorrow. We could use it. We had a couple of thunderstorms in Moncton over the last 4-5 days with monsoonal downpours, but, these cloudbursts were localized. The province in general has been getting dry (except for the northwest).
The raccoons are taking over. My inlaws have a litter of them living in the window well of the basement. Now these ones just came out from a neighbour's yard.
Screen cap of a whatsapp video so pic is low quality.
Last night was pretty windy. And late this morning it got pretty windy with that rain. Enough to finally take the big 3 off my shed and deposit it on the driveway of my neighbour. 11 days that lasted. And the rest of the balloons are still on the wall surprisingly. Secured by duct take onto painters tape onto the siding.
I also put Ironman, Spidey and Batman balloons on the gazebo and shed, secured by masking tape. Batman lasted two days before he was hanging upside down secured by a clamp. I came home from out of town to find Ironman still secured to the gazebo, but lying in a sexually prone position. I took it down but re-created the position to illustrate. Spiderman is still going strong despite his finish being worse for wear.
The weather for the party the week before last was perfect. Not too cold where you couldn't go short sleeves and not too humid where you'd suffer in a full costume.
For Easter, I had foil balloons of bunnies and whatever. Inflated them in the house only for them to deflate like 20% when bringing them outside into the cold. This time, when bringing balloons into the warm air, they expanded. All were fine except when I got the letters to spell out my daughter's name. I purposely didn't blow them up to the max because I knew they have a better chance of staying on the tape when they're that way. But, 20 seconds after I brought them outside, one letter popped. I said f*ck. Well at least it's an A and I can go replace it with her sister's A from her party, albeit in a different colour. I quickly scurried towards the house hoping another wouldn't pop. And sure enough another did right when I got to the door. No replacement on hand for that one.
We actually had a bit of an unexpected clearing today which is why the temperature shot up to 25C (humidex of 30) this afternoon when the high was supposed to be only 21. Very windy. Rain started at around 3PM.
Low of 20C this morning. We had brief rain before the short clearing.
The warmspot was Saint-Anicet, QC at 28.1C
Warmest low was Montreal, YUL and L'acadie, QC at 18.4C.
