Great pic! The skyline is gorgeous, but this height gives you a good view of all the midrise stuff popping up in the transition zones just outside of the CBD, as well as West Campus density. Impressive!

this is my favorite vantage point. The only thing missing (and it's a big one) is the Capitol. I wonder if you move the drone to the left, would you then miss the UT Tower?

Still my favorite. Can't wait to see the Rainey Gang representing from this vantage in 2025. Will be truly EPIC.

Would love to see a night pic from this same spot.

I hammer this repeatedly, but this image also illustrates why we need selective up-zoning via overlays in the absence of a city-wide re-write. I would love to see an overlay over Heritage, over the W. 6th corridor, over parts of the inner Eastside, and Govalle at a minimum. Land prices are at a premium, and artificially reducing scale in areas that call for it raises prices city wide.

The way they are building now, I wonder if the crown will be iron or concrete construction. I suspect the concrete core will go all the way to the top, but the structure will be of iron.

I love watching your videos. It’s so awesome getting an aerial view of the city.

Thanks, dude. I wish I knew how to add some melodramatic Sigur Ros in the background, but for us Austin folks, silence is golden.

That being said, I have sort of exhausted my locations. I need to find some new spots; however, the points further east, for now, don't offer the same density.

Drone footage projects on Rainey would be pretty neat.

I have been thinking the same. Next time I go to Iron Works, I will take her up.

Agreed. So much construction going on over there, but a real lack of cameras focused on any of it. Modern Austin is the only one with a dedicated webcam, but we’ve got Waterline, Travis, and River Street all under construction right there too.

Man, Commerica is absolutely dwarfed by 6x and Indeed! It was one of the tallest towers Downtown when it was built only 20 years ago.

I love the next to last pic, the way One American, Indeed and 6X line up.

I had a photo of One America Center from that angle and a later one with Indeed in that same angle. I'll have to take another one once 6X finishes.

I understand the locations issue. Usually my locations are all just outside of the downtown area. I have never tried in the heart of down town. Always worried about interference.

Going to be interesting to see if Meta keeps all of their 6xG lease... tough going for 'ol Mark. Down 71% YTD, and 25% just today

They signed a lease. So, regardless, they will either payoff the entire lease or pay the landlord monthly rent pursuant to the lease. It's pretty easy.
