Yes, a service elevator called S6 goes from 102 to 105 with stops on 102, 102M, 103, 104 & 105. You wouyld have to take a service car (S1-S5)to to 102 and transfer.

Is it going to have those ugly rings all the way up the shaft like that? I thought they were to be removed after construction.

Apparently the yellow ones will be removed, according to what someone here once said.

This communication ring structure plus spire/antenna is going to look real fly at night when all lit up different colors! I can't wait!

Maybe, if anything, this could be used for Matt Groening's "future" episodes of Futurama! ;-)

I'm hopeful that the mast will turn out to look fairly decent and I think it will look awesome at night, because if they can make that POS antenna on top of 4 Times Square look good, than this one will look fine.

Don't tell me that they are ALSO going to turn the platform ring into an awful skeletal structure !

The platform rings were never meant to ornamented - the 'decorative' dishes on the rings seen in earlier renders are the anticipated broadcasting equipment.

The rings hopefully won't remain skeletal for very long, though I dread to think what sorts of asymmetrical equipment may get tacked up there.

Ya know it's a shame they can't somehow beef up the top level of that ring, fence it in and make it a rooftop observation deck like they had on the old south tower. Just my .02

I had the pleasure of being in NYC this past week, and so got to see 1WTC for the first time in about 18 months. Boy is she looking beautiful now. For those that haven't actually seen her firsthand, she really is a magnificent beauty. One that is so towering above her surroundings. The World Financial Center looks small once more.
