I still think the new arena looks like it's inspired by Haida artwork and would have been a perfect venue for the Cannucks.

Is that darker section by the window with the colour banding going on an LED screen?

The outdoor screen idea will show playoff games (insert joke yeah yeah yeah), olympics, world cup and other major sporting events... or maybe Bogs from time to time.

A plaza outside of an arena and big screen kinda go hand in hand nowadays. To not build one here would be worse than the permanent stripes on New Mosaic's turf.

This really is the coolest looking stadium in the country. Makes all the others look so utilitarian.

I'm confused. Are you implying that The One could start construction soon but will be at risk of being stalled/cancelled?

Apologies for partial derail with arena stuff, back to tall stuff. Just a bit exciting over here, that's all.

I'm saying I expect excavation to start by the end of the year and it will be listed as under construction in the database even though they applied for a stand alone excavation. I fully expect the retail and residential to follow in some form or another. Great Gulf sold the retail at One Bloor East for $200 million!

Did this just happen? - 200 million, they didn't even pay that much for the lot.
