Calgarians have voted, and the city decided on "The Mask" model for the livery of the city's new fleet of LRVs. Delivery will begin in 23 months.

Those things should have Daft Punk playing at all times, with those lights flashing some cool sequences... I'd move to Calgary

I'm really surprised and excited about this! The Mask is definitely the best design, but when the poll was first posted in this thread, the ugly "Buffalo" design was leading by a significant margin.

The mask design looks nice!

This is the design of the new Montreal Metro cars, set to begin service in February 2014 on the Orange (and maybe Yellow) lines:

Those C-Trains look like the new Eglinton LRT.

What are the dimensions of those new Montreal Metro cars? They look similar to Vancouver MK11 cars.

Yes, that Eglinton LRT looks very close to the Calgary C-Train. Especially the size, aren't the C-Trains supposed to be coupled in 4 car sets? That render makes them look pretty small.

Yes. Imagine four of those rendered cars coupled together.

I wonder what vehicles Calgary will use for the upcoming 203 Line. It is supposed to be a low floor design, so maybe it will be something like the Flexity Freedom. Will be interesting to have low-floor subway stations.

They could do that, but it would make integration of the lines more difficult.

They aren't integrating the lines, thats why 203 will be subway under downtown. The city decided in 2008 that at least the Southeast Line will be low floor, and now I think the idea is to have the Southeast and North Central lines connected as the 203 Line. The only "integration" with other lines will likely be a transfer station between the 203 subway and the future 201 Line 8th Avenue Subway. Somewhere probably under the intersection of Stephen Ave and 2nd Street SW.

That was my favorite too. Very dark and sleek.
