Right...so his original quote did not apply to this project at all.

Sounds like there could be some questions about whether it happens at all if the Bunge-Viterra merger goes through.

I thought there was already some site prep being done.

Regarding the Viterra Office building in downtown Regina it’s absolutely the most hideous Buildings ever built in Regina, who in their right mind designed that that must’ve been insane, They’re so cheap. They can’t build a new building

So the City built a large, paved and lined parking lot on the Yards site to accommodate parkers during construction. I suspect it will remain even after the revitalization of Dewdney is completed until the land in s developed. It might be useful for events, food trucks, etc.

I predict in 10 years people will be really upset at the proposed removal of this parking lot. The city should have consulted more and the decision came out of nowhere.

Unhinged premier eh?
Because Steven Guilbeault is so based in reality and listening to the vast majority of Canadians. There's a reason why the left is getting SMASHED in EVERY poll. The ideas of the left are the VAST minority.

It's not a dichotomy: people can dislike the actions of the federal government and think that Moe is unhinged. Moe's actions on so many issues are just moronic and without foresight. From negotiations with the teachers right now, to bungling social/disability assistance, to his use of the notwithstanding clause to discriminate against transgender people.

Also, while I am not a fan of Trudeau (though I prefer his government to Harper, and over Poilievre, simply because of the social policies of both), the primary reason the polls are the way they are is the same reason why Harper went down: governments in Canada tend to have an expiration date of 8-10 years. Once you've been in power for that long, the public ties any negative issues to you (such as housing prices, economy, etc) even if those aren't your fault. If Poilievre wins in 2025, he will likely then lose somewhere between 2030 and 2035 to whomever is the Liberal leader. It's just how it goes. It's dangerous to assume that whomever wins an election wins because their specific ideas are great. In fact, people usually win because they stay vague enough to allow centrist voters to fill in their hopes into the lack of specific policy.

I can appreciate your position on that. But I would also state that the vast majority of people are tired of the progressive ideas put forwards by left leaning and extreme left politicians. Our nation is suffering under these ideological choices that are made by governments so out of touch with the people that handing drugs to people is something they champion. That being said, I feel we likely shouldn't have this conversation here on this thread lol.

Honestly all I want for the Dewdney strip/railyards is simple: main floor commercial with 3-4 floors of residential. We don't need anything fancy, just move more people into the downtown area, and provide stores/restaurants for people to go to (which draws in people from other areas).

Since it appears you have a drone, maybe you could get a few shots of the Cargill Crushing plant construction. There is a new gravel road just west of the site. You might have to wait a week, a bunch more rain tomorrow so it will likely get muddy.

Last week they took down the blue fence that had been up all winter. The guys at Super Save must think nuts grow on trees because there was tons of fence nuts and bolts left behind. The road got graded after the fence came down so most of the bolts are now buried in the middle of the road.
