Thanks for sending that! I can't wait to fly my drone over Austin next year as well. This is going to be my last photo update post for awhile as I'm back in the Bay Area for the holidays.

I honestly can't get tired of Sail

Skyline:

Love this view from ACL by Charles Reagan.

The sail is such a great addition to our skyline!

It's mindblowing to think how I was at ACL in 2011 exactly 10 years ago and not only was the Frost Tower fully visible at the time, but ..stating the obvious.. over half of these buildings were not here, and the view was still impressive then! It's so great that both the sail and Sixth & Guad will be clearly visible in this view going forward!

^^ The increasing height of Rainey St. is going to dramatically affect the view of downtown from that vantage point, especially since it makes the towers that follow the curve of the river appear in a straight line.

The Rainey Isthmus does some weird things to our skyline, depending on where you're looking from. But for sure, in this view, it's going to make us look incredible and huge. This is kind of the ultimate Rainey angle.

And literally every time I look at our skyline, I can't help but want to FFWD through the next 5-7 years at Cheetah Speed, when most of the stuff in the hopper is completed and we have the most iconic skyline in TX.

Austin Google Earth has been updated, and the comparison really shows the density that's been quickly forming in downtown and in other areas.

A few drone shots from this evening. They got compressed getting uploaded so the quality is even worse than the originals. Also the panoramic didn't come out so great... You win some, you lose some

Edit:

I guess I don't know how to resize the image preview in the thread from Imgur. If anyone can help me out that would be great!

In the mean time, here's a link to the photos on Imgur.

Mopac at 183 on 1/16. Sixth and Guadalupe already making a big impact. Imagine another 300+ feet on top of what's there now.
