Yeah I drove by and noticed a couple piling rigs on site. Let’s go!

I was by there today and piles are in for several buildings, some to the north of the tree-lined path to the bridge and some to the south. As I was there a semi pulled up to the south site with another load of piles. I forget how many buildings are starting but it seemed like 4-5

Site 10 & 12 are south of the path, site 08 is on the north side.

I’m not sure how you read the 24 hour clock, but it says it arrives at 7:30 PM and leaves at 9:30 PM…not 11:30 and not three hours.

We get it. You think it will be noisy. The city and the Forks thank you for your concern.

You're right, I'm sure the architects and engineers didn't put any thought into sound deadening materials in their buildings. As the Gen Z would say; They're cooked! /s

Simple solution.

There are recommendations. But they are not law unless the municipality enacts laws to follow the guidelines. There are also ways around the guidelines if the municipality want to allow it.

Generally the building must be 100' from the property line per the guidelines. And also include mitigation measures for noise and vibration. May also include crash walls designed into the building. Again it's up to the municipalities to enforce whatever they want.

This is the website. Looks like there is an ongoing study to 'modernize' the guidelines issued in 2013.

2013 guidelines are here:

Have a couple of friends that live at The Vue in St. B and they never hear the train when it comes by unless they're at the balcony or right beside their windows. Mind you, that building is concrete, so that mitigates most of the noise.

Did you actually mean to say "in any significant city on the planet"
