I take it then it is going to hook up with the First and Main supportive housing?

Yes, the First and Main supportive housing is being hooked up to the NEU.
However they are also going to be installing the connections for future projects on the Burger King site and the Intermechanica/Busters towing site, which is an active rezoning.

I'm pretty sure those are the new electrical circuits BC Transmission Corp is running from its major substation somewhere in Kits to the new one in Mount Pleasant.
They are also tunnelling a new line from David Lam Park to meet up with this new trunk circuit and will be extending the circuit over to the Main and Union substation.

Sounds like Hydro's Vancouver City Central Transmission (VCCT) Project that will plug into the new BC Hydro Mount Pleasant Substation | u/c

The location isn't the same as shown on the BC Hydro website, so maybe the route was changed?
The cables are right next to the railway/streetcar tracks.

Could be that they are just being stored there...

Half of the wooden cross-members from the old Opsal building have been taken down over the past couple of days. The whole thing should be gone by the end of this week, they're coming down quick with only the north side left:

I got the same thing and was invited to the centre but while waiting patiently I was reading the disclosure statement for that building they are trying to now sell and was surprised by the monthly maintenance fees at $0.68 cents per square foot.....therefore if the unit is 800 square feet that works out to a whopping $544.00 plus what the buyers may not be aware of (in their blurred vision of the beautiful scenery is that the price will go up perhaps to $600 after the 2nd year). Oh yes Rennie will tell you there's one year free maintenance but after that your screwed.

Pinnacle Living False Creek is done. All that appears to remain is for the street trees to be planted by the City. I still cannot fathom why this project was allowed to skip out on having retail at grade. They didn't even design the townhouses to have a quasi commercial appearance to allow for the live-work units, if they are even zoned that way, to have any real chance of success. I think the city's gold standard for live-work townhouses are those that line Hornby Street at the base of The Canadian, which is located at the intersection of Hornby and Helmckin.

A shot of the lane, which differs from the standard city design in a number of ways. There are street trees in key locations where they will be able to grow without affecting sight lines or the ability for haulers to service the buildings' garbage and recycling. There are cobblestones lining either side and a concrete drainage runnel will run down the centre once the City is ready to pave the lane and complete the design. The architects for Pinnacle Living False Creek and its neighbour across the lane, Foundry, worked together to ensure that their courtyards would be complimentary to one another in terms of light access and private views and overlook, plus the garage entrance for Pinnacle Living False Creek was positioned as far away from the more lively and porous part of Foundry's courtyard. It is also likely that Pinnacle Living False Creek's garage entrance will be shared by the future adjacent project in the same manner that Foundry and The Exchange share a single driveway entrance to their separately gated underground parking garages.
