At the end of the day I'm just ecstatic that these truly unique buildings will break ground any day now, it's going to be an absolute game changer for our skyline.

For sure. I think I most excited about this project over any other, even Relevé.

Still disappointed with the lack of integration with Pimisi and the library though.

Excited to see it rise next to the library and the Claridge project, all within a stone's throw away. The Claridge tower is already looking really tall since there's not much else in the area, will be interesting to see the Dream tower since the tallest is about 5 stories taller than Claridge one.

With the elevation difference its going look more like 7-8 stories taller than Claridge

So is there any hope left of this project breaking ground this year?

In an article on the previous page, it says "in the next 6 months", so I'm not expecting any movement until the Spring, unfortunately.

Honestly a good thing. Between the Claridge project, the library, the road alignment my, and Releve, the whole stretch is a total gong show right now. I was in a traffic jam of cement trucks for 20 minutes heading East through the area mid day today.

Additional Geotechnical work is being carried out today. A bore hole rig is on site. There are several new orange stakes spread out. I inspected 4 of them. Typical marking was BH 23-5 at top and 62.53 at the base being the bore hole No. and elevation in meters. I saw at least 4 more stakes plus the location they were already drilling. So at least 9 more bore holes being sampled.

Well I guess that's some kind of a start

Changed the name to "Dream LeBreton". That seems to be the official moniker when searching online.

This Project has hit a few roadblocks along the way, but apparently it will be moving ahead in the spring of 2024 if all goes well.

The site plan control documents are no longer on dev apps so I presume this is now approved. The site is still subject to some sort of comprehensive official plan amendment which covers multiple locations.

It is approved with the target of starting excavation in mid-spring of this year.

Can't wait for this one to go up. After seeing the impact of Claridge East Flats, we know these two will have even more of a positive effect on the skyline. And red too! It will introduce a completely new colour palette to the skyline*!

Zibi Ottawa's red palette isn't so much part of the skyline. Interesting that Dream is continuing that red theme off the islands though.

This Dream project is exactly more of what we need in our city. I really REALLY cannot wait to see these beauts go up.

This and Relevé + Marriott Renaissance will have the greatest impact on the traditional skyline since probably Place de Ville Phase II.

I'm most excited about the colour! Bring on the colour!!
