This one wouldn't be all that bad if it weren't for the hideous parking garage

the materials on the parking area are SOOOOOO bad. Cheap. Uneven. Warped.
Especially up close. (Walk buy this all the time)

And they did not hurt any budget with those tiny trees! LOL!

IMO, it reminds me of a dollar-store version of 70 Rainey.

HAHA! True. It just seems indicative of the cut corners.

I like almost all of Rhode Partners' work, but they use similar awful cladding on most of their parking garages. I know architects design for their clients tastes and budgets, but apparently their clients are OK with this shit.

Hoping the lobby will end up looking nice at least. Looks like a blank canvas now with a lot of work yet to be done.

The other side is just screaming for a mural. We need more of those around downtown.

The cladding on the far right looks different and whats with that crocodile mouth awning. Its almost as ugly as the garage.

Wow they really cheaped out on the trees.

I don't know what type of trees these are, but hopefully once they grow the site will look much more approachable.

Most definitely! I think some of these blank spaces might start having giant ads though? Art is certainly more preferable than building-sized-billboards.

One time I built a mountainside house for a guy who literally brought an old toilet to the master bathroom to find the best place to install it for the best shitting view.

Very cool, a night version would be great too since they keep all the lights on.
