Ha. I like how someone goes to the trouble of Photoshopping some buildings into the skyline, and we all want more, more.

Imagine this view pulled back just enough to show all the present and proposed Rainey District towers. Amazing.

Didn't we also see a proposed tower awhile back for the parking lot across 8th from St David's? Wonder whatever happened to that one. That would also have an impact on this rendering.

From what I remember, it's still alive, but from what theATX said, there are some changes coming based on the site plan activity. As of January, they said they were planning to break ground next January, but weren't sure what they would be building there. Here's the thread on it. There are even some good renderings in there of it, but it's likely going to appear different than that.

By the way, Henry, I LOVE the labels you added. One of my pet peeves with some of the "future skyline" renderings that people do is they don't add the names of the new towers to let the viewer go read up on the details of what they're seeing.

Honestly, I've been forgetting about it as well. I was mostly interested in the residential version of that proposal, but I think I'll probably like the office tower just as well. I do like the bold colors, and I'm hoping the black mullions are real.

Anyway, here's the thread on that. There are some renderings of it in there.

hequals2henry thank you for updating this. Probably the best photoshop of proposed buildings for any downtown anywhere that I've ever seen. We all owe you $5 or a beer, or three!

I was asking you about this building earlier and apparently it would be barely visible to the left of the Austonian. Shouldn't be a hard one lol

Actually, now that I see the location of 300 Colorado and where it would be in my render, I really question the visibility of this building. It might peek a little above Colorado tower, but other than that it is directly behind the Austonian. Because we are not getting a front view of this building, we are getting a 45 degree view. It would make the southern facing side seem a lot narrower than it is. And the southern facing side is not even as wide as that whole block.

Henry's photoshop is getting some attention. It's made it's way on to at least four discussion sites and two blogs. Here it is on ATX real Estate News.

Henry Han, a product designer in Austin with an impressive roster of work, created the skyline rendering just for fun and the enjoyment of others.
This is their way of saying they don't want to participate in buying you any beers for your work.

The ATX, thank you for letting us know about these features. Can you tell me which other sites or blogs you found this image on?
