This really turned out to be something special. I have nothing bad to say about it. It's as handsome as they come.

I love the inverted arches acting as the building's crown. Really breaks up the mass. Still have an uneasy feeling about the "reverse shingle" facade detail, which looks fantastic no less, but if the AOR has the water infiltration figured out, more power to them.

Hell of a tower!

let's hope they don't blow it with the roof like they did on that KPF tower near Madison Square Park.

130 William Street’s Dark Exterior Nears Completion In The Financial District

Quote:
Installation of 130 William Street‘s charcoal-colored curtain wall is approaching completion in the Financial District. Designed by David Adjaye of Adjaye Associates and developed by Lightstone with Hill West Architects as the architect of record, the 66-story residential skyscraper stands 800 feet tall and will yield 242 units marketed by Corcoran Sunshine. Prices for residences are expected to range from around $1,300,000 for a one-bedroom to $20,000,000 for a four-bedroom, full-floor penthouse.

The top ten floors on the northern and southern profile have private individual loggias, which are outlined by the open-air, upside-down arches that are currently protected with orange netting.

The only other portions of the project remaining to be finished are the strip on the southern elevation where the hoist still stands attached and the landscaped ground-floor courtyard and main entrance along William Street.

^ I absolutely love it. B+ as it currently stands, and once the gold louvers are installed at the mechanical penthouse, per renderings, I shall award a solid A to the design.

The tones and shapes of this building are intoxicating. Probably the best tower on this side of Lower Manhattan since The Beekman.
