Hey thought I would introduce myself and I figured this is the best place since I

have some photos of our great city. Ive lived here my whole life and currently a

student at NAIT. I had the opportunity to go up with a friend out of the CCA

today and it was a blast! We took off from runway 34 and I got some skyline shots and a few of the F-18s that

were taxing for takeoff. Please give me a break on my armature point and shoot shots!

I hope to contribute to this forum in the future

Very nice shots. I really like the aerials.

This one really makes the north edge look dense (not hong kong or shanghai style though ;P)

hmmm...look at that old parade picture on Jasper. Kids sitting on the ledge of the building! You'd never see that today. And The Pig n' Whistle use to be downtown? cool...

I like those EE, though I had to google 'Lomo Effect'. The first hit said it was 'one of the most popular photographic effects of all time". What do I know?

Especially like 109 St and the Glenora cottage.

thanks guys.

@bulliver: haha. it was a type of camera/film now it's just an effect in your every day post processing software. it kind of makes more drama, maybe a grim look, hard to explain, but you can obviously see in the pics. but it also brightens certain parts.
