A couple of quick snaps taken this morning at 5:30 am at Crowfoot Station (NW terminus of line 201)

... and a decent pic I shot of a downtown station last week.

The SETWAY is in the pipeline, and the extension of the South Line.

I imagine, with all of the major businesses moving down to Quarry Park, that there may eventually be talk of just building the SETWAY as the Southeast LRT without having the BRT right of way built first.

Studies are also ongoing as to the location of the future North Central Line.

Calgary has begun a study into the feasibility of a future streetcar network. Here is a personal vision done by Calgary forumer WIGS:

Here's my fantasy Beltline/EV streetcar proposal. just for fun/fantasy but I think Beltline and East Village would benefit greatly from having at least 1 streetcar line (after all Beltline was named after a former streetcar line!)

Yeah that boat is fuckin' ugly. I'll say that much.

As for the 'leafers', I don't know how long it's been done here, but yeah, it's been many years since the Europeans flock here by boat to look at falling leaves and shit.

Rumour has it that after Montreal, the Euros travel down the 401 to look at another sort of falling leafs.

It's not a fantasy though, they have started the study for it. Or do you just mean for maps and stuff like what wigs did? That's a good idea.

Urban Toronto has one, and it can be fun, though after awhile they all begin to look the same.

I know that it's because both lines run downtown, but I just experienced a headway between trains of less than 40 seconds. That is probably the quickest I've ever seen it though. Surprisingly, there was no extended stop at any of the stations to compensate. This is also the end of rush hour as well.

Toronto City Council just passed a 1.6% tax hike to pay for the Scarborough Subway. The LRT is now officially dead.

I hope Surrey can dodge the LRT bullet too.

Ottawa new TMP includes massive fasttracking of LRT construction and additional length to lines added to Phase 2 instead of a post 2031 Phase 3. Also a split at Lincoln Fields to Bayshore (don't know if that's a new line) They believe they can get it done 5 years after Phase 1 finishes.

19 new stations, new 35km in Phase 2 now.

"we will shift LRT up an entire generation...to spread it east, west, south together"
