I did a walk around Victoria this evening with Zoomer. We spent a couple of hours walking the city and taking photos. I uploaded three this evening and will share more over the week. It was a beautiful sunny and warm evening.

The Coho Ferry leaving Victoria to Port Angeles Washington. Photo taken last Sunday evening. I really hope everyone has a really enjoyable long weekend. I'm hoping to go to the Saanichton Fair but not sure if I'll have time. 😃

Here's a few more traditional photos of Victoria that I took last Sunday. I went to the Saanichton Fair tonight. $15 just to get in. Kind of expensive but I think I might go back tomorrow to see more of the livestock.

Seems like I'm the only one posting here but I really enjoy photographing Victoria and sharing my photos so keep this thread alive. I took some more photos of Victoria today and some decent skyline shots. I'll post my skyline photos tomorrow. Here's a few of the ones I took today downtown.

Thank you so much. It's a lot of work constantly taking photos and editing them and posting them but I enjoy. I really appreciate your kind compliment too.

Here's a few photos I took from Mt. Tolmie on Sunday afternoon...

Yes, much thanks to the Great Scaper for keeping this going and being the King of Victoria Skyline photos! No one else in Victoria cares about new buildings or skylines - they’re too busy taking pictures of flowers. Ironic, as Scaper is a landscaper.. but I guess buildings makes a nice change!

I’ve promised him for a few weeks now I would finally get around to posting some of mine for our recent photo shoot and random pics, so I’ll add them here as well as in ‘some photos of your city’ thread.

It's been a few days since I've posted anything on here. On Monday September 12th, I finally met my good friend Greg from England. We've been online friends for about 17 years but had never met. It was such a great day touring Victoria together. I thoroughly enjoyed the day. This is one of the photos I took from Vista 18. The restaurant was closed but the manager opened it up to us to get some photos. So nice of him to do that.

I borrowed this photo idea from my friend Greg. He was cool about it and it turned out pretty well.

I was driving downtown tonight and noticed that there were 3 cruise ships docked. I didn't have a tripod so I took the best photo I could hand held.

/\ Nice pics Scaper! Hey, did your friend post any pics on Flickr yet from his trip to North America?

As promised, apologies for the delay Scaper - finally sharing some pics. More to follow, also posted these in the Canada section, but I know not everyone checks that out.

The natural lighting for the first pic was incredible, although since then I had a few days dealing with forest fire smoke, low bright sun into the camera, and quite often just using a phone - so apologies.

Another cruise ship in the distance, at one point we saw 5 in front of us, but one wasn’t coming into port it was headed down to Seattle.

Next post I’ll get into North Park, the grittiest part of downtown, not usually featured in tourism features . Including Mont Royal Bagels, a staple in the area since 1994. From their website: “ In 1999, two brothers, Mark and Eliot Workman had the dream of turning their love of bagels (like true Montrealers) into a career. With a secret family recipe passed on for generations in their back pocket and a handful of change, they set off on a journey to spread the joy of bagels to everyone’s homes. After much travel and search for the perfect spot, they set up their very first factory in 1994 in Victoria, opening their first franchise factory location in North Vancouver in 1999.”
