Edmonds is probably one of the least homogenous areas in the metro. I see whites and asians in the area but there are also alot of african, middle eastern, east indian, and south american people.

I kind of agree with cornholio.

This is what I don't get. My suburb gets one vocal minority chirping loud enough and council is like "ok ok we won't build anything over four storeys ever, please forgive us." It's always whoever's losing a view, of course. So frustrating.

I meant that they can't do jack since the site is across the 10th Ave border.

So the Cressey proposal on the NE corner of Kingsway and Edmonds finally has a name, King's Crossing, and is about to start presales.

That looks like the tower proposed for Patterson/Barker near Kingsway. But I thought that was a Polygon development. That's my best guess.

It looked like Central Park they were trying to portray there I guess that's the pathway coming off Imperial, although I don't think it looks as nice in real life.

That Intergulf building marketing image is quite misleading. There are & wont be any trees like the ones depicted in the image. The exact location is in on Nelson just south of Concord's Met Towers I & II. The Met will be directly north of it and there are low-rise apartments directly south of it. & VanMan is correct the one on Baker/Patterson just off Kingsway beside Central Park is Polygon's Aldynne tower.

There will be quite a wall of towers along Nelson Street as well. It will look good, but I hope we could see a bit more variation in heights.

The low-rise south of The Park is condo, plus the lot across the alley from it has been sold too:

Two towers will soon stand sentry over the Westminster Quay.

City council gave the green light to a proposal from Bosa Properties to construct a 28-storey and 23-storey tower at 1000 Quayside Drive.

Bosa reduced the above-ground podium from six to four storeys. Originally the towers were both to be 26 storeys, but their size and shape were adjusted to make the sightlines better. The changes meant the project would have nearly 80 fewer units, although there will be more two- and three-bedroom units than originally proposed.

The western tower was also pushed back 28 feet from 10th Street so it wouldn’t loom over the neighbouring Westminster Landing housing co-op.

“We got just about everything we wanted,” said Mayor Wayne Wright.

As part of the project, Bosa agreed to build a pedestrian connection to the McInnes Overpass that will provide a direct link from the SkyTrain station to the boardwalk.
