The bolded part is a huge item when it comes to parking. IMO if you live in the City or close to (Lumsden, White City, Balgonie, Grand Coulee, Pilot Butte) take your car to a mall and take a city bus in to the games ($2 each way, or if the city was smart (season ticket holders could get one or both ways free)) There is no reason you couldn't or (shouldn't) do this. This leaves out of-towers the ability to park their cars closer to the stadium. This reduces congestion, allows people who have to drive 2-4-6-8 hours home to get out quicker. And reduces pollution near the stadium.

Right now my plan is to park in my downtown space and ride my bike to the stadium. This assumes that there will be a bike path along the tracks and secure bike parking. It also assumes I can stay sober enough to ride back.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I knew I had seen it before. I take the bus to games as if feels like a part of the game day experience to me. But not everyone feels the same way. Thanks

I suspect the names that are there are street names and ones in the green areas that say "Parking" other than that nothing useful.

Reading up a bit on the PCL contract, I noted the following interesting tidbit:

This may explain the steady progress.

There must be more than one company as I have seen at least 2 there in the past.

Maybe it's too early to say, but I'm really happy with the management of this project. Everything seems to be going right for us. It's probably because all parties involved know that we won't tolerate a Tim Hortons' Field or Investors Group Field scenario here.

Now that you mention it, while checking out the Ag Place webcam I couldn't help but notice the impending limitations of the boom on the concrete pump - I was wondering if extra long boom trucks were availble. Is 55m the largest pump commonly available?

That's standard in all P3 projects and the #1 reason that they aren't late. Though there are many issues with the P3 delivery process, schedule is not one of them.

There apparently are 70m pumps. They pumped to the top of Mosaic Tower. Here's how:

Ledcor Construction - Hill Centre Tower III

First Placing Boom erected in Saskatchewan, freeing up Ledcor's tower crane for other work
We used conventional pumping at the beginning of the project, and erected a placing boom on the 12th floor for Elite Formworks, to finish the concrete for the 20 storey building
Saskatchewan's biggest pump, our 55M was used for many slab pours
Regina's first tower in 20 years, dramatically changing the downtown skyline

Very true, however, the LDs on P3 projects tend to be far more punitive than on most other projects that contain them.

I can already see the nay sayers blowing this thing out of proportion. From what I understand these costs are for after the stadium is complete as REAL is not involved in the building process. Headline is so miss leading and in my opinion is just inviting argument for the sake of it.
